Adding badges to the sidebar icons

Hi everyone,

I would like to add a badge to the TODO extension sidebar icon to notify the user there are TODOs. I have in mind something similar to how the Issues sidebar icon shows a badge when there are issues.

I don’t believe this is possible with the current Nova extension API. Can this be confirmed? If not, @logan, can you tell me if this is on the roadmap?

Correct. This isn’t currently possible, but it definitely seems like the sort of thing we could do in the short term. I will file an API request on this.

It seems the built-in Git icon also does it.
