Usually in side-by-side diff comparisons the changed version is presented on the right or at least that has been my experience and what I’ve grown accustomed to.
It would be extremely helpful if there was an option for this so the latest commit is shown on the left and the current working version of a document on the right.
(This is essentially how Coda did it by launching FileMerge with current working version on right)
Seems to vary by product. TBH it never occurred to me that nova was different because I would want the file I’m editing on the left, comparing to one or more older versions on the right. New left, old right. But you’re right others do it the other way around, old left, new right.
Hopefully it can be a configurable option so we can have it either way because I’ll stick with the way it is for now.
